The first 22 participants of Italy’s ‘Festival della canzone italiana di Sanremo’ have been announced by host and artistic director, Amadeus.

All eyes were on Italian broadcasters Rai to see who they’d present for the 72nd edition of the festival, given the success Måneskin found this year (not least in winning the Eurovision Song Contest).

Fans will not be disappointed. The chosen acts are responsible for 7 Eurovision performances between them, spanning 50 years from 1969 to 2019.
