Tension rises as Italy broadcasts night two of 'Sanremo 2019' tonight

Last evening the first night of Sanremo 2019 took place, where all 24 participants sang their songs for the very first time. This included Il Volo, the Italian participant of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. The trio reached the top eight in last night's consumer panel vote, together with Loredana Berte, Simone Christicchi, Irama, Nek, Francesco Renga, Daniele Silvestri and Ultimo. Tonight at 20:30 CET night two of Sanremo takes place, with a special guest performance from Marco Mengoni, winner of Sanremo 2013 and Itay's 2013 Eurovision Song Contest participant. In the competition half of the contestants perform their songs today: Achille Lauro, Einar, Il Volo, Arisa, Nek, Daniele Silvestri, Ex-Otago, Ghemon, Loredana Bertè, Paola Turci, Negrita and Federica Carta & Shade.
