Russia calls musicians for the national selection

02 September 2013 at 00:05 CEST

While the Russian broadcaster Channel One Russia was in charge of sending their participant Dina Garipova to Malmö in 2013, the responsibility has switched to RTR for choosing their artist for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Russian public broadcaster RTR published a press release calling on musicians for the national selection.  All musically talented singers with an extraordinary voice and artistic skills are welcome to take a chance and send in their applications during the next two months. This project is called Kto? that means Who?.

In the end, only the TV viewers will decide who they want to represent their country in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.

In 2012, RTR organised the Russian national selection and sent Buranovskiye Babushki who took for Russia a second place in Baku. In 2013, Channel One Russia sent Dina Garipova to Malmö where she came fifth.
