Romania decided: Elena Gheorghe to Moscow!

Out of the 24 songs which competed in the two semi-finals on Tuesday and Thursday, twelve qualified for the big final tonight. Today's contestants were:
  • Alin Nica - Don't Leave
  • Blaxy Girls - Dear Mama
  • Cătălin – Stop
  • Costi - Can You Forgive
  • Dalma - Love Was Never Her Friend
  • Elena Gheorghe - The Balkan Girls
  • IMBA - Round & Round
  • Popas Band – Striga
  • Red Blonde - Nu Am Cu Cine
  • Tabasco - Purple
  • Tina - Pleaca
  • Zero - Sunny Days
Finally, after a shared vote between a professional jury and the viewers, Elena Gheorghe won! Followed by Cătălin and Blaxy Girls. The final list according to the broadcaster is:
  1. Elena Gheorghe - The Balkan Girls - 22 points
  2. Cătălin – Stop - 18 points
  3. Blaxy Girls - Dear Mama - 18 points
  4. Zero - Sunny Days - 12 points
  5. Tabasco - Purple - 12 points
  6. Dalma - Love Was Never Her Friend - 11 points
  7. Tina - Pleaca - 8 points
  8. Popas Band – Striga - 5 points
  9. Red Blonde - Nu Am Cu Cine - 4 points
  10. Costi - Can You Forgive - 3 points
  11. Alin Nica - Don't Leave - 3 points
  12. IMBA - Round & Round - 0 points
Elena Gheorghe will take the stage in Moscow in the first Semi-Final together with Bosnia & Herzegovina, Sweden, Israel, Belgium, Andorra, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Iceland, Georgia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Switzerland, FYR Macedonia, Finland, Belarus, Turkey, Malta and Armenia.
Romania did qualify for the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest last year with Nico & Vlad's charming duet Pe-o Margine De Lume and achieved the 20th place.
