In the press conference, the German representative in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest Roman Lob shared his impressions of the city of Baku: "We did some sightseeing. Baku is a great. The food is also very good!"

One journalist asked Roman if he had already met the former German representative Lena and what advice she gave him. At that very moment Lena surprisingly appeared in the press conference hall. "Roman is such a great artist and he is going such a good job", she said. Lena wished Roman good luck for tonight’s and tomorrow’s show.

One journalist asked Roman Lob about his favourite participants in the Semi-Finals. "I like Sweden very much. Loreen’s show and music are just great. Denmark has also a very good song. I was sad that the Austrian participants didn’t qualify. Norway is also great", the artist replied.

On the question about the stage, Roman said: "I like it very much. It’s big and I was a bit nervous in the beginning. But the sound is very good."

The artist was asked why he doesn’t perform his song Standing Still in German. Roman said: "Well. I think performing in English can touch more people as they understand what the song is about."

In the end of the press conference, Roman Lob sang the acoustic version of Standing Still.
