After competing three times in the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2007, 2008, and 2009, Montenegro will be back in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, as a report on the website of the public broadcaster RTCG confirmed today.

Rade Vojvodić, director general of RTCG, explained that negotiations had been successful and thus, Rambo Amadeus had been internally chosen to represent his home country. He will record his song for Baku soon in Ljubljana, in the studio of the popular Slovenian producer and musician Magnifico.

Rambo Amadeus, whose real name is Antonije Pušić and who was born in Kotor, Montenegro, in 1963, explained today that the goal of his participation was to help branding Montenegro as an attractive tourist destination, a task he considered even harder than coming up with a song for the contest.

The last Montenegrin representative was Andrea Demirović, who came 11th in the First Semi-Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, thus narrowly missing out from the Final.
