All you need to know ahead of tuning in to the 75th edition of Italy's 'Festival di Sanremo'.

How To Watch

The final night of Sanremo is happening on Saturday 15 February, with a start time of 20:40 CET. Wherever you are in the world, you'll be able to watch the show live on Italian broadcaster Rai's online player, RaiPlay.

About Sanremo

It's the only song competition that makes us feel young in comparison... And so ahead of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in May, we'll be watching the 75th Festival di Sanremo on Saturday night!

4 nights of the 2025 edition of the prestigious festival have already played out during the week and now 29 artists are set to present their songs one final time, during Saturday night's main event at the iconic Ariston Theatre, in the north-west of Italy.

The final night of Sanremo is scheduled to go on for over 5 hours. So get some snacks in, remember to stay hydrated and perhaps treat yourself to a 'riposo' (Italy's own version of a 'siesta') in the afternoon.

Our hosts for the duration of the night will be Carlo Conti, who's been presenting the whole week of live shows, plus Alessia Marcuzzi and Alessandro Cattelan. You might remember Alessandro - one of the hosts of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, when it came to us from Turin.

The Voting

Saturday night's final will be the third time throughout the competition that participants have performed their Sanremo entries for viewers.

On night one, all 29 artists presented their songs for the first time, while on the second and third nights, the lineup was split in half across the two nights, with each singer showcasing their song a second time. Friday night's 4th evening saw the artists take a short break from their brand-new compositions, instead getting to perform a cover version of their choosing, with a special-guest duet partner.

The final night will see all 29 songs being presented once more. Voting will come from three sources - a jury made up of members of the press (accounting for 33% of the score), a jury made up of members of the radio industry (33%) and a public vote (34%). This vote will be combined with voting from the first three nights and will determine a Top 5.

The Top 5 songs will then perform again, and voting will be opened one last time. The final vote will be combined with the previous rounds of voting on those 5 songs and by the end of the night (or rather, the early hours of Sunday morning!) Festival di Sanremo 75 will have a winner!

As is tradition, the Sanremo champ will be invited to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest, but their answer won't be confirmed until the following day, at a press conference. Since 2017, every Sanremo winner has accepted the invitation.
