The writers behind Portugal’s Festival da Canção 2023 RTP
Portugal’s hunt for the next 'Amar Pelos Dois' has kicked off in Lisbon; broadcaster RTP has announced the composers and lyricists responsible for the 20 songs competing in Festival da Canção 2023.

Songwriters invited by RTP:

  6. Cláudia Pascoal

  7. Dapunksportif

  8. Ivandro

  9. Jacinta

  10. Neon Soho

  11. Quim Albergaria 

  12. Sal

  13. Teresinha Landeiro

  14. The Happy Mess

  15. You Can’t Win Charlie Brown

The 15 writers invited by RTP will be joined by 5 who submitted songs through a public process:

  1. Edmundo Inácio

  2. Inês Apenas

  3. Mimicat

  4. Moyah

  5. Voodoo Marmalade

Last year, Maro represented Portugal, finishing 9th with Saudade, Saudade.
