22 January 2010 at 12:37 CET

Extracts of the 30 participating songs are now online on RTP's website. The online voting started yesterday and will last until Wednesday the 27th of January and its function is to reduce the number of songs to 24 which will proceed to two semi-finals, each with 12 songs, to be broadcast by RTP on the 2nd and 4th of March. The top six songs with the highest number of televotes from each semi-final qualify for the final show on the 6th of March. In the final specially-formed juries will account for 50% of the result, the other 50% coming from the televote. In the event of a tie, the song that has received more 12's from the juries will be declared the winner.

The semi-finals and the final will take place in Campo Pequeno in Lisbon.

Among the 30 artists we find Nucha, who already represented Portugal in 1990 with the song Há Sempre Alguém.

In 2009 Flor-De-Lis represented Portugal with Todas As Ruas Do Amor which was placed 15th in the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2010 Portugal will try to win the competition for the first time in Oslo, the city that witnessed their best result ever, a 6th place in 1996 thanks to Lúcia Moniz and O Meu Coração Não Tem Cor.
