Portugal reveals the participants of Festival da Canção

The 47th edition of the Festival da Canção 2011 will be used to select Portugal's entry in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The final takes place on the 5th of March at the Teatro Camões in Lisbon. These are the 21 entries aiming for a place in that final (composers & authors in brackets):

The following three songs were originally in the running but have been disqualified by RTP for not meeting the rules :

We see some familiar names to the competition, like that of the winning authors of the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest for Germany, Ralph Siegel and Bernd Meinunger or the Portuguese performer of 1980 José Cid.
You can listen excerpts of the songs here and vote for them until the 27th of January.
In Düsseldorf Portugal will try to be in the Top-10 of the first semifinal the 10th of May and reach the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest for the 4th time in a row.
