RTP, the Portuguese broadcaster, published through their website the results of the online voting that was held between the 21st and the 27th of January at 0:00. The 24 songs with the highest number of votes proceed now to two semi-finals with 12 songs each:

The song Luta Assim Não Dá by Homens da Luta was eliminated earlier in the process because it had been performed live before the specified date and Vanessa takes their place in the semi-finals. The draw to atribute which songs will be performed in each of the heats will take place in the forthcoming days, and the scheduled dates of the semifinals are the 2nd and 4th of March in Lisbon.
Apart from Nucha who represented Portugal in Zagreb in 1990, Vanessa and Nuno & Fábia have already participated in the Festival da canção while Evelyne Filipe did backing vocals for Portugal in Belgrade in 2008.
Flor-de-lis represented Portugal last year and got to the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest with Todas As Ruas Do Amor which came 15th.
