Portugal: 'Festival da Canção' lineup ready to listen to!

Saturday 25 February - Festival da Canção 2023 (First Semi-Final)
Saturday 4 March - Festival da Canção 2023 (Second Semi-Final)
Saturday 11 March - Festival da Canção 2023 (Grand Final)

All songs are now available in lyric videos to watch and listen on the Festival da Canção website and YouTube channel, with the digital edition appearing shortly on all streaming platforms. 

All three shows will be held in RTP’s studios and everyone will be able to watch live on RTP1 and RTP Play. There's also special programming dedicated to the contest on Antena 1, the official radio station of Festival da Canção. 

In the first semi-final, duo Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Carlos Malato will host, while in the second show that responsibility will go to Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel. The grand final, once again, will see favourites Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim guide us through an amazing evening. Inês Lopes Gonçalves will host the green room for all three shows. 

Ten songs will compete in each semi-final, with 5 qualifying for the grand final using the usual voting system; half of the score being awarded by a professional jury and the other half by popular vote. 

But this year there’s a twist…

After the 5 finalists are chosen, the audience can save a 6th contestant. Before the end of each semi-final, the televote opens again for a short period of time, and the viewers can vote to choose one more song to compete in the grand final. This means the grand final will have 12 competitors.
