Portugal: 'Festival da Canção' songs now available to enjoy! 🇵🇹
21 January 2022 at 13:30 CET- Saturday 5 March: Festival da Canção – Semi-Final 1
- Monday 7 March:Festival da Canção – Semi-Final 2
- Saturday 12 March: Festival da Canção – Grand Final
The first semi-final will be presented by Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel, while the second semi-final, which takes place on the 65th anniversary of broadcaster RTP, will be handed over to Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Carlos Malato.
The final will be hosted, once again, by Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim, and the green room will be attended by Inês Lopes Gonçalves across all three shows.
Five songs will qualify from each semi-final for the grand final, leaving a total of ten entries for Portugal to choose from on Saturday 12 March. The winner will be decided by a 50/50 split of professional jury scores and a public vote.
All shows will be performed in RTP’s studios and fans will be able to watch live on RTP1 and RTP Play. There’s also a special programme dedicated to the contest on Antena 1, the official radio of Festival da Canção.
