Pastora Soler chosen to represent Spain
21 December 2011 at 15:19 CETAfter assessing a number of selection options, Spanish broadcaster TVE opted for an internal artist selection and a public song selection.
Behind closed doors, TVE carefully examined bids submitted by various artists and record companies and came to the decision that Pastora Soler should represent Spain in Baku next year.
Born in 1978, Pastora has had a lot of success in Spain, which is one of the main reasons she was chosen by TVE. She is known for combining many different styles in her music, including flamenco, pop and even dance. Pastora has also collaborated with many different artists through her career.
Pastora has not only had a lot of success at home in Spain but also abroad and has won a number of awards. She recently released an album entitled Una Mujer Como Yo
According to TVE a televised national final will be held at some point in February where the viewers will help to decide the song Pastora will perform in Baku on the 26th of May.
