Il Volo among 24 announced artists Sanremo 2019
22 December 2018 at 10:36 CETNoteworthy participant in the list is Il Volo, the 'powerhouse Italian pop opera trio featuring Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble' who ranked third in the Grand Final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.
The initial 22 acts participating in Sanremo 2019 were announced during Sanremo Giovani, the newcomer version of the famous competition that was held on Thursday and Friday night earlier this week. Einar, the winner of the first evening and Mahmood, winner of the second evening, were as a result added to the Sanremo lineup as 23rd and 24th names on the list. The songs with which they will participate next year, have yet to be decided.
Sanremo will be organised for the 69th time next year, and will be broadcast every night starting Tuesday 5 February 2019, with the winner being crowned during the final on Saturday 9 February.
