The Festivali i Këngës has taken place every year since 1962, organised by the Albanian public broadcaster RTSH. Since 2004 it has also served as the Albanian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. This year, it's spread out over three evenings, with two semi-finals being broadcast on December 23rd and 24th, and the grand final, to be held on December 25th.
In each of the semi-finals, sixteen national stars and three newcomers will compete, with eight stars and one newcomer each qualifying for the final evening. This is the list of the 32 stars and their songs:
