Over 900 people participate in Eurovision promo castings

The second round of castings, for the promotional videos to introduce Azerbaijan for the Eurovision Song Contest has now finished. According to information from eurovision.az, a total of 363 candidates of various ages participated in the second casting.

Public interest in the castings was felt right up until the end. Selections continued from 12:00 to 20:00.

According to information obtained from the manager of the castings, Tahir Aliyev, more than 900 people took part in selections. 388 candidates took part on the January 6th selections and 363 participated in the castings yesterday.

Also, more than 200 people from different parts of the world have sent their photos to the Eurovision Song Contest Baku 2012 Core Team by means of e-mail.

Participants of today’s casting expressed their desire to be known in Europe with the slogan “Light your fire".

The successful candidates will be invited to the next phase. They will be informed by the 15th of February.

The reason for carrying out these castings is to select ordinary citizens for promotional video clips of the Eurovision Song Contest and to provide local participation in the contest.
