Nothing lasts forever: ALEKSEEV finished his 30-minute rehearsal

With a rose in the hand and accompanied by a ballet dancer, Belarusian contestant ALEKSEEV finished his first rehearsal of 'FOREVER' here in Lisbon.

ALEKSEEV, the artist name of Nikita Alekseev, was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1993. He was mainly raised by his mother, as his father left the family before he was born. He has performed in more than twenty countries around Europe and beyond, and won several awards, such as the Singer of the Year-award, once in Belarus and twice in Russia. 

When he competed in The Voice of Ukraine in 2014, he was given a chance during the blind auditions by singer Ani Lorak, who represented Ukraine in the 2008 contest with Shady Lady.

ALEKSEEV is well known in Belarus and considers himself to be a Belarusian artist, which is why he took part in the country's national selection for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.

FOREVER was written by Yevgeny Matyushenko composed by Kirill Pavlov.

Rehearsing FOREVER for the first time on the Eurovision stage, ALEKSEEV gave away a compelling performance with a rose in hand and accompanied by a ballet dancer, he added to his song with intense scenery.

Eurovision.tv caught up with ALEKSEEV after his first rehearsal: "It is a great day, the stage is huge and it's an amazing experience for me as a vocalist. I will remember this day forever!"

Belarus will take part in the first Semi-Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest on the 8th of May.
