Norway: Song Titles And Running Order Revealed
21 December 2011 at 11:55 CETNorway and broadcaster NRK are now all set for the 2012 edition of Melodi Grand Prix. Today the song titles and running order for the semi-finals were released.
Many of the song titles have been revealed before but this is the first time they have all been confirmed. Take a look at the details below!
Semi-Final 1 - Ørland - 21st January
- Irresistable - Elevator
- Kim André Rysstad - Så vidunderlig
- Reidun Sæther - High On Love
- Rudi Myntevik - You Break It, You Own It
- Lisa Stokke - With Love
- United - Little Bobbi
- Nora Foss Al-Jabri - Somewhere Beautiful
- The Carburetors - Don't Touch The Flame
Semi-Final 2 - Larvik - 28th January
- Cocktail Slippers - Keeps On Dancing
- Isabel Ødegård - I've Got You
- Tommy Fredvang - Make It Better
- Rikke Lie - Another Heartache
- Malin - Crush
- Plumbo - Ola Nordmann
- Minnie-Oh - You And I
- Rikke Normann - Shapeshifter
Semi-Final 3 - Florø - 4th February
- Tooji - Stay
- Marthe Valle - Si
- Petter Øien - Things Change
- Yaseen & Julie Maria - Sammen
- Håvard Lothe Band - The Greatest Day
- Silya Nymoen - Euphoria
- The Canoes - Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time
- Lise Karlsnes - Sailors
3 acts from each semi-final will qualify for the final, which takes place on the 11th of February at the Oslo Spektrum arena.
Project Leader Stian Malme is extremely satisfied with the line-up. "There is a very high level in the competition this time so there are going to be three very exciting semi-finals. Norway has many talented songwriters and artists most genres are represented in next year's Melodi Grand Prix. There is going to be a hard fought battle for a place in the final", Malme said to NRK.no.
Whoever wins the 2012 edition of Melodi Grand Prix will take part in one of the semi-finals at the Eurovision Song Contest on the 22nd or 24th of May 2012. The final takes place on the 26th of May.
