Mucho gusto! Meet the 14 artists in Spain’s Benidorm Fest 🇪🇸
10 December 2021 at 11:06 CETThe songs will be presented on Thursday 23 December, before the acts pack their suitcases and head to the Mediterranean seaside resort where they will compete in January.
RTVE’s Eurovision team rigorously assessed the 886 songs received, believing the final 14 represent a strong mix of authenticity and innovation, across a variety of musical genres.
Due to the quality of the proposals, the number of participants has been increased from the planned 12 to the 14 we can now introduce below:
Azúcar Moreno
Postureo
Those of you following #EurovisionAgain might recognise these two Eurovision icons from Zagreb 1990 thanks to their fan favourite Bandido! Their performance was memorable enough to bag them 5th place – a Spanish result that has only been bettered on two occasions since.
Blanca Paloma
Secreto del Agua
A stage and costume designer by trade, Blanca discovered that her true vocation was to be centre-stage. One of the emerging artists in Benidorm Fest, with lots of theatrical experience, this artist is a true find.
The song features in the RTVE docuseries Lucía la Telaraña.
Chanel
Slo Mo
Chanel is a singer, dancer, and occasional actress, born in Cuba and raised in Spain since she was four years old. She’s in good hands, as her songwriting team have worked with the likes of Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.
Gonzalo Hermida
Quién lo Diría
Gonzalo is a singer-songwriter who has composed and produced tracks for artists such as Malú, India Martínez, Sergio Dalma, Antonio José and Julia Medina, among others. Last year he launched a solo career, packing out gigs, performing songs from his album Iñífugo.
Javiera Mena
Culpa
Javiera Mena is an electro-pop icon. The Chilean singer-songwriter already has 6 albums and a Latin Grammy under her belt. She’s collaborated with multiple musical legends, including Julieta Venegas, Miss Cafeína, La Casa Azul and El Guincho.
Luna Ki
Voy A Morir
Luna Ki is a multidisciplinary artist with mould-breaking, futuristic visions of what pop should be. We’re reliably informed that Luna is ‘creating the sound of a new generation’.
Marta Sango
Sigues En Mi Mente
Dedicated to music practically since birth, Marta achieved national fame in 2018 thanks to her successes in Operación Triunfo.
With a role in a musical, 165,000 Instagram followers and a new album due soon, Marta will be hoping that 2022 is her year.
Rayden
Calle de la llorería
Internationally recognised artist Rayden will be bringing rap to Benidorm – as would be expected! As well as six solo studio albums (that have earned him several MTV EMAs nominations), he’s also worked with the likes of Pablo López, Leiva, Rozalén, Sidecars, Iván Ferreiro, Andrés Suárez, and Bely Basarte.
Rigoberta Bandini
Ay Mama
Rigoberta is one of the most versatile artists on the Spanish music scene. The actress, songwriter and singer, went viral in 2020 with her single In Spain We Call It Soledad. She was listed as on the 100 most creative Spaniards by Forbes magazine.
Sara Deop
Make You Say
At the age of 13, Sara participated in The Voice Kids, and now she’s working with the composers behind the hits of Dua Lipa, The Saturdays and Little Mix.

Sabela, Olaia and Aida define themselves as strong, brave and empowered women through their Galician folk music.
They’ve had a busy 2021, releasing four singles and performing globally.

Mejores
Mat, Armand, Gio and Valen make up Unique, a boy band with a commitment to Latin and urban rhythms. Influenced by Michael Jackson and Juan Luis Guerra, the producers of Mejores have worked with David Bisbal, Juan Magán and Chenoa, among many other top names.
Varry Brava
Rafaella
With 13 years experience and 6 studio albums to their name, Varry Brava are already popular in Spain and hope to bring their lighthearted electronic pop style and optimism to the rest of Europe.
Xeinn
Eco
The 23-year-old singer from Madrid is a graduate in political science with a passion for singing. Xeinn started his pop career by uploading covers to his YouTube channel, where he currently has 222,000 followers and more than 18 million views. This year he released his first studio album and says his influences as Justin Bieber, Post Malone and The Weeknd.
