Mikolas Josef to represent the Czech Republic in Lisbon

Mikolas Josef will represent the Czech Republic in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest Czech TV
Mikolas Josef has won the Czech selection for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Lie To Me'. More than four hundred songs by various producers, performers and bands from all over the world were submitted for the national selection.

Six songs, six genres, six performers. This year, fans helped to choose the Czech representative for the Eurovision Song Contest in the first national selection in the country for over ten years.

About Mikolas Josef

Mikolas Josef is a composer, producer, singer, multi-instrumentalist and director of music videos and grew up in Prague and Znojmo. He now lives mainly in Vienna. He comes from a musical family and has been playing the guitar since he was five. 

 Mikolas graduated from The English College in Prague, and although his study grades were good enough for him to go on to prestigious UK Colleges, he opted not to keep studying, but to get on with his musical career.

Martina Bárta represented the Czech Republic at Eurovision 2017 with the song My Turn.
