Microsoft becomes Technology Partner of Eurovision 2015

"We welcome Microsoft on board the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest as the Technology Partner," says Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor of the contest on behalf of the EBU. "With their help we will be able to lift the official mobile app to even greater heights and also for the first time, bring it to Windows Phone."

As the Technology Partner of the Eurovision Song Contest, Microsoft has been granted extensive pan-European media, association, event and new media rights for the upcoming events in Austria. Microsoft will play a key role in the development of the new Eurovision Song Contest app, as well as providing valuable support through technical solutions at the venues of the contest and equipping all event volunteers with smartphones.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place on the 19th, 21st and 23rd of May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria. The shows will be co-produced by the Austrian EBU Member ORF and the EBU.
