JOWST prepares to grab the moment for Norway
18 April 2017 at 14:39 CESTJoakim has been interested in music since he was 15. After finishing his education he first began working as a teacher before going on to work as a sound engineer and producer. His entry for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, Grab The Moment, was produced with a little help from his friends who gave him feedback in a closed group on Facebook.
Aleksander Walmann is the lead vocalist for Grab The Moment, and like Joakim, took an interest in music from an early age. In 2012, he reached the finals of the Norwegian edition of The Voice and lent his voice to the animated film Rio 2 (Roberto). He is preparing new releases with his own music as well as working for other Norwegian artists.
The Eurovision Song Contest is an important platform for the two performers. "It's important for me that people get the possibility to enjoy and use my music for something good", said Joakim. During a recent promotional tour in Israel he spoke about the meaning of the song, which is about grabbing the moment and realising your dreams.
