Every year, the 32 songs for Melodifestivalen consist of 28 songs which were entered through the open competition and 4 songs which are especially invited by Swedish TV. This morning, the first of these so called "wildcards" was revealed: it's the hugely successful hiphop-singer and actor Markoolio who will have his debut in the prestigious competition with the song Kärlekssång Från Mig which was composed by Patrik Hensel, Karl Eurén and Markoolio himself.

In his career, Markoolio - whose real name is Marko Lehtosalo -  has released 7 albums which have been huge successes in Sweden. He will release his new album Jag Är Konst on the 3rd of December. One of his most popular songs is Värsta Schlagern which he sang in a duet with Melodifestivalen veteran Linda Bengtzing and which was the most sold single in 2007. The song had even been entered for Melodifestival, but didn't make the final cut. Markoolio has also already been a presenter for the Swedish national final.

Until now, Swedish TV has revealed 9 singers for 2009 out of the 32, but more will be released to the public in the coming days.
