Discovered after performing acoustic covers on social media, Manel Navarro will represent Spain in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Do It For Your Lover'.

Manel Navarro, 21, is a composer and singer whose music is a mixture of influences from Bob Dylan to Ed Sheeran and is said to carry his guitar with him wherever he goes. After success with his first single, Candle, released in 2016, his second single, Do It For Your Lover, became a radio hit. Earlier this year he won the Spanish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest and will represent Spain in Kyiv.

Speaking of his entry for 2017, Manel said; "It's going to be brand new and fresh, a completely different style of entry from what Spain has done so far in the Eurovision Song Contest, and I think Europe is going to be pleasantly surprised that Spain brings an entry like this!"

Do It For Your Lover is described by Manel as a "cool, fresh and happy song" and he states that Lucie Jones, who is representing the United Kingdom this year, is his dream duet partner.

Manel considers the Eurovision Song Contest to be a unique event and is looking forward to the experience. "I think it is an incredible opportunity for me as it will let me be known internationally. It's the most important music show in Europe, even worldwide!"
