This year, composer Steve Compagno, together with Toby Farrugia wrote a song especially for the event, and Steve explains the concept behind it, adding "The song had two purposes, to raise money and to raise awareness. The song has really succeeded in raising more awareness amongst the locals to be more generous to the charity this year."

Steve recruited some familiar names to help record the song, amongst them 2012 Maltese representative Kurt Calleja, 2011 Maltese national final runner up Richard Edwards and Raquela who participated in the 2011 final also. Marilyn Mifsud also features as a vocalist on the song.
