Malta announces national final and 22 songs for Eurovision 🇲🇹

Destiny represented Malta in both 2020 and 2021
Malta is set to pick its Eurovision participant through ‘Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022’, having used ‘X Factor Malta’ to select Michela and Destiny in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
The national final will see 22 songs compete through a semi-final and grand final to win the honour of representing the island nation in Turin next May.
The shows air in February and fans will be able to cast their votes alongside scores given by an expert jury (yet to be revealed).
There are a few familiar faces in the line-up.
Nicole Azzopardi returns to the Eurovision family, following her 13th place finish at Junior Eurovision 2010 in Minsk with the track Knock Knock! … Boom! Boom!
Also returning are Jessika Muscat (who we last saw in the Second Semi-Final of Eurovision 2018, representing San Marino with Jenifer Brening) and Richard Micallef (who wrote Coming Home and performed as part of the band Firelight in Copenhagen 2014 – finishing 23rd).
Malta enjoyed a fantastic result in 2020 thanks to Destiny and her song Je Me Casse which topped the First Semi Final and finished 7th in the Grand Final.
