With shows set to kick off from 27 October, the 36 artists who will participate in 'Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024' have been revealed, along with their song titles.

Anyone suffering from Eurovision Song Contest withdrawal symptoms (hey, we've ALL been there) is about to have it slightly soothed next week, with Malta providing the rhythmic remedy!

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 commences on Friday 27 October, gifting us with 4 weeks of live music in a competitive context.

Via the television show XOV, 36 artists will perform 36 songs live in the studio; broken up into 9 performances over 4 episodes. Each week, both a jury and the television viewers at home will be able to vote for their favourites - the songs they would most like to see represent Malta in Malmö.

After those 4 shows have wrapped, we'll have our delectable dozen - the 12 songs that will compete in the glittering final of Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024, set to take place in early 2024.

The 36 songs (and the artists who will be performing them) competing for a ticket to that final:

In that lineup are some names who will be familiar to anyone who has followed Malta Eurovision Song Contest in recent years, with a number of artists returning to give the country's national final another shot.

The winner of Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be the successor to 2023's champs The Busker. The knitwear aficionados of The Busker represented Malta in Liverpool in May, with the sax-fuelled introvert anthem Dance (Our Own Party).

Before we find out who will be flying the flag for Malta in Malmö, we can look forward to seeing how the country fares in Nice - as it takes part in Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 26 November.

Yulan was given the honour of representing her country when she won Malta's pre-selection competition - Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023. She'll head to Nice with the song Stronger.
