28 October 2014 at 18:40 CET

The memorandum between the two parties was signed by the Mayor of Vienna Dr. Michael Häupl and ORF’s Director General, Dr. Alexander Wrabetz. The document defines the basics of the co-operation between the City and ORF.

In it, the City confirms it will take care of the organisation of the Host City Insignia Ceremony and the Semi-Final Allocation Draw as well the Welcome Reception on the 17th of May. The City will also support ORF with the Eurovision Village and host city branding.

ORF in return will be responsible of the shows and the events at the Eurovision Village as well as the Euroclub. In addition to that, ORF will also be in charge for the press and delegation facilities, logistics and security of the upcoming contest.

While several cities had been in the running, in August, ORF chose Vienna to be the Host City of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.
