Luna will sing for Poland in Malmö
19 February 2024 at 09:00 CETAccomplished singer, Luna, has been involved in the music industry since her youth, singing and dancing in a folk band, as well as performing in musical theatre and the Grand Theatre-National Opera in Warsaw.
Luna is 24 and studies at the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Artes Liberales. She can play the violin and the piano, is a songwriter (in both English and Polish) and a composer, as well as a yoga teacher.
Art, philosophy and fashion are Luna’s playground, but she’s also fascinated with astrology; living her own way, Luna cares for Mother Earth and draws as much kind energy from the Moon as possible. And when she lacks energy - she enjoys a cup of coffee!
Luna’s biggest influences are Nick Cave and Björk.
In November 2021 she released the Caught in the Night EP and became the first Polish Ambassador of the Spotify Equal initiative; her image was displayed in Times Square in New York. The following year Luna was nominated as ‘Discovery of the Year’ in the prestigious Polish ‘Bestsellery EMPIKu’ Awards.
Luna’s 2022 debut album Nocne Zmory (‘Nightmares’) was launched with a packed-out promo concert at Warsaw’s Niebo club. After the album’s premiere, Luna performed at the Polish music festivals and went on tour with another Polish singer called Bryska.
More recently 2024,Luna began collaborating with UK and Swedish producers, and writing for both herself and other international artists. The song, Subterranean, recorded with DJ Miss Monique has been streamed millions of times.
The song The Tower, in turn, was made in the UK in collaboration with Fyfe and Max Cooke, specifically for the Eurovision Song Contest.
