Lucie Jones will perform her emotive song 'Never Give Up On You' for the United Kingdom in Kyiv. The song was co-written by 2013 Eurovision Song Contest winner Emmelie de Forest.

Lucie is a singer and actress from South Wales who first found fame in The X Factor in 2009 when she reached the live TV finals. Since then she has embarked on a highly successful career in musical theatre. Lucie's credits include playing Cosette in Les Miserables, Kelly in The Prodigals, Meatloaf in the We Will Rock You World Arena Tour, Victoria in American Psycho The Musical and Molly Jensen in Ghost, The Musical.

Never Give Up On You was co-written by Emmelie de Forest, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark in 2013. "I am a huge fan of Emmelie. It's an honour to be singing her song", said Lucie. "Nobody knows my personal meaning of the song... the story I am singing the song about. I like that everyone has their own interpretation!"

An avid sports fan, Lucie has sung the Welsh national anthem at sporting events in The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and Twickenham Stadium as well as God Save the Queen at Wembley Stadium. Lucie is excited and honoured to be representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv. "There is nothing else like Eurovision in the world! A music competition that brings together people from all over the world is an incredible thing and to be part of such a wonderful event will be a true highlight of not just my career but my life", said Lucie.
