Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has announced that 'EUROVIZIJA.LT' will once again be finding the Baltic nation's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025.

Lithuania are currently enjoying an impressive qualification streak at the Eurovision Song Contest, with its entries having progressed to the Grand Final in each of the past 4 Contests. Now, the search is on for the song that they'll hope will continue that run of success.

Broadcaster LRT has opened song submissions for EUROVIZIJA.LT, the national final that will select Lithuania's entry for Switzerland 2025.

The submission window remains open until 11 November, and interested composers and artists can find the rules and the application form here.

The broadcaster confirmed that EUROVIZIJA.LT will commence in January 2025, with the number of songs competing at the event depending on the submissions they receive.

As with the 2024 pre-selection, a combination of a jury vote and a public vote will decide which songs progress from the semi-finals to the final. And again in the final, both sets of votes will be used to score the songs.

Once a Top 3 has been determined in the final, however, the voting will open again. And it will be solely the Lithuanian viewers watching at home that will decide on the entry that gets to represent them at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest.

The winner of EUROVIZIJA.LT 2024, decided by the Lithuanian public, was the song Luktelk performed by Silvester Belt.

In Malmö, Luktelk took Lithuania to the Grand Final, where it finished in 14th place with 90 points.
