Live this weekend: Norway and Lithuania continue their search

Norway and Lithuania remain on the hunt for their perfect Eurovision 2021 song as Israel sets up for their big reveal this Monday!

10 new songs battle it out for Lithuania

Lithuanian selection Pabandom iš naujo! (Let’s try again) kicked off last week with its first heat. Out of 10 competing acts, only 5 made it to the next stage. This Saturday 23 January, a new set of 10 songs will compete but only 5 will proceed further in the competition.

Aistė Brokenleg, Evita Cololo, Gabrielė Goštautaitė, Gabrielius Vagelis, Gebrasy, Cosmic Bride, Norbertas, Rapolas Meškauskas, Sunday Afternoon and Unoband will perform for a spot in the Semi-Final.

The second heat of Pabandom iš naujo! will start at 20:00 CET and can be watched on LRT’s website

5 new songs plus a Eurovision legend in Melodi Grand Prix 2021

The second of 5 Semi-Finals in the Norwegian national selection Melodi Grand Prix 2021 will take place on Saturday 23 January. There will be 4 more acts performing for one ticket in the Final. The Norwegian show will also welcome back Raylee and Ketil Stokkan.

Ketil Stokkan represented Norway in 1986 with the song Romeo NRK

If you've been watching the Eurovision Song Contest for a while now, you might remember Ketil Stokkan. He represented Norway twice: in 1986 with the song Romeo and in 1990 with Brandenburger Tor.

The second Semi-Final songs are:

  • Raylee - High
  • Ketil Stokkan - My Life Is OK
  • Daniel Owen - Psycho
  • Maria Solheim - Nordlyset

The 4 artists will be joined by the pre-qualified group Stavangerkameratene who will also showcase their song.

The show will start at 19:50 CET and can be watched on NRK’s dedicated MGP page

After the weekend: Israel will reveal their entry

On Monday 25 January, the song for Eden Alene from Israel will be revealed. Three songs are still in the running:

  • La La Love
  • Ue La La
  • Set Me Free

Voting takes place in the KAN app and the reveal will take place during the Final on January 25.
