Lithuania: Nine artists still in the game!

In the previous two TV shows, 20 artists took part performing their versions of very know Eurovision entries. Ten managed to qualify (five from each show) and took part in tonight’s LIVE broadcast from the Vilnius. However, only nine of them can go further.

After the votes of Lithuanian and international jury have been shared, including the results of televoting, the names of nine (new) finalists appeared on the screen (in the following order).

  • Ieva Zasimauskaitė
  • Martynas Kavaliauskas 
  • Vilija Matačiūnaitė
  • VIG Roses
  • Kristina Radžiukynaitė 
  • Justinas Lapatinskas


Lithuanian songs on "repertoire"

In comparing with what we have seen and heard in the shows aired on 21st and 28th of December 2013, this time all artists were performing covers of popular Lithuanian songs. Find out which songs they performed:

  2. Justinas Lapatinskas "Ar mylit ją jūs?"
  3. Monika Linkytė "Pavakarys"
  4. Kristina Radžiukynaitė "Aš žiūriu į tave, pasauli"

  6. Martynas Kavaliauskas "Gyvenam kartą"
  7. Ieva Zasimauskaitė "Jurgos klejonės"
  8. Vaidas Baumila "Meilę skolingas tau"
  9. Mia "Saulė"
  10. VIG Roses "Nakty"

This will be the case in the show scheduled for the next Saturday evening too. Nevertheless, in the Round Three we are finally going to hear eight finalists performing some of the competing songs. Still, from Saturday to Saturday, there will be less qualifiers and the final decision about the artist who is going to represent Lithuania at Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark (but the song as well) is going to be made on 15th of February.

In this year’s concept for the national selection, LRT wanted to bring even more Eurovision euphoria in their show, that’s why three million viewers in this Baltic state, can enjoy Eurovision marathon (10 TV shows) and many great songs being performed in a bit different version. 

All the shows have a webcast, so even if you are living outside of Lithuania, you can still follow LRT’s Eurovision marathon on the Internet.
