The Roop won the final of Pabandom iš naujo! (Let’s try again), the national selection show of Lithuania, with the song 'Discoteque'. They received the most points and will represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
The Lithuanian selection started with 21 participants on 16 January. After 2 heats and a Semi-Final, only these 6 acts made it to the Final of Pabandom iš naujo! (Let’s try again):
The Roop - Discoteque
Gebrasy - Where'd You Wanna Go
Evita Cololo - Be Paslapčių
Voldemars Petersons - Never Fall For You Again
Martyna - Thank You Very Much
Titas & Benas - No
A jury and the audience (watching from home) both had a 50% say in the final score. The Roop received the most votes from both the jury and the audience and will go on to represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
Right after the show The Roop answered some questions about their victory at Pabandom iš naujo!
What did you feel when the votes were revealed?
We felt extremely happy. It was like a deja-vu.
Why did you come back to the national selection?
We felt like we had an unfinished journey from last year. That was the main drive to return.
How will you celebrate your victory?
Maybe we should ‘dance alone’ at home!
What message do you want to convey with your song?
We want to show the power of music and dance in one place. The act itself and the love it received is proof of that power.
How will you maximise your Eurovision experience?
By meeting new people and connecting with a new audience. That is something we missed last year. We would really love scenario B. We’re hoping to meet a lot of people.
Do you have a message to the viewers?
No matter where you live. No matter what you do. You can achieve whatever you want. We would like to thank everyone for believing in us, supporting us and allowing us to continue our great journey. We will not disappoint you!

Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest
The Roop will become Lithuania’s 21st entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. The Baltic nation participated for the first time in 1994. Their best result to date came from LT United, who finished sixth with their song which was ironically called We Are The Winners. Let’s wait and see if The Roop will achieve even more greatness for Lithuania in 2021.
