Listen to the Spanish song!

01 March 2015 at 13:37 CET

The song that will represent Spain in this year's Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed today on the website of the Spanish broadcaster TVE.

You can listen to the song here.

Edurne, a popular female artist in Spain, is the singer and the song Amanecer which means "Break of day" is sung fully in Spanish. Edurne described it herself as a "high quality pop song". The writers are Tony Sánchez, Thomas G:son and Peter Boström. Sánchez and G:son had already written the Spanish entries in 2007 and 2012 and, also in 2012, G:son and Boström won the Eurovision Song Contest with Euphoria

I really wanted to show it!

Edurne was enthusiastic about it. Had it been in her hands, we would have heard the song already at the press conference where she was announced as the Spanish act for Vienna. "It's a very powerful song with epic touches that talks about heartbreak".

And she goes on: "It's a cry, a cry of pain where the heart is telling me to never ask for love if it's not with that right person". But Edurne warns us that the lyrics can be interpreted in several ways, as we will be able to check in the video which is expected to be published on the 9th of March.

Spain with Amanecer by Edurne will participate in the Grand Final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria, on the 23rd of May.
