Full lineup revealed for 'EMA' in Slovenia
13 December 2024 at 18:05 CETSaturday 1 February is the evening that Slovenia chooses its entry to the 69th Eurovision Song Contest.
Evrovizijska Melodija - or EMA as it's become widely known as - is a one-night affair that will see 12 entries take part in a competition to become not just Slovenia's song for Basel, but also for the honour of being the 30th entry that has competed for Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest.
On the night, once all 12 entries have been performed, five juries - each one containing five individuals - will vote on a Top 2. Then, once EMA has its most delectable double, voting will open once more for this 'superfinal'. But this time, it'll be just the Slovenian TV viewers watching at home that will get to pick their favourite; the EMA 2025 champ.
On Friday 13 December, Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO unveiled the 12 artists in the running to represent Slovenia in Basel. Here's who you can look forward to seeing compete on 1 February:
Eva Pavli – Niti
KiKi – O-ou!
Jon Vitezič – Vse Ti Dam
Trine – Grace
Klemen – How Much Time Do We Have Left?
Žan Videc – Pusti Da Gori
ANNA – Čau
July Jones – New Religion
ZveN – Divja
PolarAce – Kind

EMA 2025 is the first time that RTVSLO has used a national final to select its Eurovision entry since 2022.
In 2023, Joker Out were internally selected to go to the Contest with Carpe Diem, while in 2024, it was Raiven who competed with Veronika after another internal selection. Both entries made it to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
