Lindita Halimi is representing Albania with the song World at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Lindita stands for human equality through spreading love all over the world and uniting people. With that message she hopes to win the hearts of the people.

Notwithstanding Lindita’s profound experience in the world of music, she was shocked when she found out she would represent Albania in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. "I was just lost," she said when thinking back of her national selection victory.
Lindita was extremely happy when she found our her message totally fits this year's slogan, Celebrate Diversity. "To me, the slogan is about loving each other for who you are and not trying to change one another," Lindita said. As she traveled extensively to various countries, she met different people and cultures. "We are so alike, yet different," she explains.
Lindita provided a hint of her performance by revealing that she is going to wear a white costume, as it is the colour that symbolises peace and elegance.
Lindita describes herself as "an avid workaholic". She participated in several national and international contests, gaining experience and learning valuable lessons. Lindita credits American Idol with providing her with one of the most valuable learning curves. Working in a competitive environment made her stronger, contributed greatly to her musical career and paved her way to the Eurovision stage.
Albania's hopeful has collaborated with prominent names, such as the Backstreet Boys and Stevie Wonder. "It’s all about being humble and working hard, keeping your feet on the ground and making sure that you focus on work," she concluded.
Lindita will rehearse again on Thursday, 4th of May, and will take part in the first Semi-Final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest on Tuesday, 9th of May.
