Lena's Satellite becomes most selling single in Europe

12 June 2010 at 15:17 CEST

Last year's winning song, Fairytale by Alexander Rybak, became the third most sold single in Europe. Now, Lena has not only repeated the hat trick but has reached the first place with her Satellite in the European Hot 100 Singles Chart!

We've already reported about her success in iTunes charts all over Europe  but this is the first time in the history of this chart a Eurovision Song Contest song gets that high.

She was already number 8 before her victory in Oslo but has been doing even better after that, especially in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands.

But that's not all!

But this is not the only song from Europe's favourite TV-show doing that well in the chart. Jessy Matador's Allez Olla Olé, which represented France in Oslo, is also in the chart, placing 6th. Besides that, Belgium's Tom Dice has reached the 27th place with his Me And My Guitar.

Lena's debut album, My Cassette Player is also doing very well, placing sixth in the European Top 100 Album Chart, besides artists such as Lady GaGa, Black Eyed Peas and Katie Melua.

By the way, you can buy her single also in our Download Shop or iTunes, if you already haven't done so.

Lena won the 55th Eurovision Song Contest with her song Satellite, representing Germany. This brought them their first victory since 1982.
