Funny Girl was written and composed by Laura herself.
Laura, wearing a red, lace jumpsuit with a train attached, gave a steady, sensual performance alone on stage. She sings her song with confidence and knows how to use the camera to connect with the audience.
Inspired by Laura's costume, red dominates the light rig, which was set in a lowered position to create a more intimate feeling.
Laura: "Passion, drama and confidence"
Eurovision.tv caught up with a very happy Laura after her first rehearsal: "This is what we have been preparing for all this time, and the stage is beautiful. Also, the team makes us calm, because they have it all together."
We also asked Laura about the idea behind her performance and her jumpsuit: "Funny Girl is a song that is introspective. It's about a girl who has been keeping a secret and now has decided to share it with the world. It's an emotional journey. My outfit represents passion, drama and confidence, and I like the way it makes me feel."
Latvia will perform in the second Semi-Final on Thursday, the 10th of May.
