Kristina wins first Slovak semi-final

Posted 14 Febuary 2010 at 22:21

Over the last few weeks, six quarter-finals took place to determine the 24 semi-finalists of the Slovak national selection. Twelve out of those were drawn to take part in tonight's first semi-final, with six of them going forward to the final. While the results of the quarter- finals were determined solely by SMS voting, the outcome of the semi-finals is decided by a combination of SMS voting and the votes of a three-member expert jury. This is the result of tonight's semi-final (qualifying entries in bold):
  • Marián Bango - Ty Tu Ticho Spíš (12 points - 6th place)
  • Mayo - Tón (14 points - 4th place)
  • Kristina - Horehronie (24 points - 1st place)
  • Petra Humeňanská - Rosa Rosí (6 points - 11th place)
  • Róbert Mikla - Voda A Oheň (11 points - 9th place)
  • Pavol Remenár, Klára & Liquid Error - Figaro (14 points - 3rd place)
  • Renáta Čonková & Martina Polieková - Dúha (12 points - 8th place)
  • Michaella - O Nás (5 points - 12th place)
  • Richard Čanaky & FBI - Zlomené Krídla (11 points - 10th place)
  • Robo Opatovský - Niečo Máš (13 points - 5th place)
  • Get Explode - Blue Sun (12 points - 7th place)
  • Miro Jaroš - Bez Siedmeho Neba (22 points - 2nd place)
Thus, Kristina won the first semi-final with the maximum number of points possible, gaining 12 points from the jury and 12 points from televoting, accounting for 31.2 % of the total number of calls. The second semi-final will take place on Sunday, the 21st of February. This is when all the participants of the final of the Slovak national selection, to take place on the 28th of February, will be known.
