Katie Melua star act Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Katie Melua was born in Georgia in 1984. At the age of 15, she won a talent competition on British television. In 2003, she released her first single and album. This first album, Call Of The Search, became a number one hit in the United Kingdom and in the United States jazz charts. The Georgian delegation, taking part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time, is "very excited" to see the Georgian-born start performing at the event.   

 Katie has been successful across the world and is currently one of the best selling female artists in Europe.
