Which stars — other than the 41 participants — will be performing during the 3 live shows? Where will the Opening Ceremony take place? And where will the Eurovision Village and EuroClub be located? With the Eurovision weeks hitting us in less than a month, Host Broadcaster KAN decided to invite national and international press for a grand Eurovision 2019 update this morning.

Netta to open the first Semi-Final

The first Semi-Final on 14 May will be opened by Netta with new version of her winning song Toy and a new single that she is expected to release at the end of April.

Conchita, Eleni Foureira, Måns Zelmerlöw and Verka Serduchka to make guest appearances

For the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, the producers have come up with a very special collaboration between these four Eurovision stars in which the singers sing each other's participating songs.

At the end all four artists will join Gali Atari on stage to perform Hallelujah (Israel 1979).

Superwoman!

Actress, model and superwoman Gal Gadot will be appearing in the Grand Final on 18 May, but in which capacity is still being kept under wraps by the production team.

The diva returns

1998 Eurovision Song Contest winner Dana International will take to the stage in the first Semi-Final and the Grand Final. The song that she will sing—still a surprise!—is being described as 'powerful'.

The Idan Raichel Project

Israeli singer-songwriter and musician Idan Raichel will be on stage during the Grand Final on 18 May with 24 singers and musicians, performing the song Bo’ee – Come to Me. At the end of the act, Idan will be joined on stage by all 26 finalists.

... and let's not forget about the theme!

In line with the theme of this year's contest, Dare to Dream, Shalva, finalist of Israel's national selection Rising Star, will perform the song Million Dreams in the second Semi-Final on Thursday 16 May.

The red — no! — orange carpet!

This year's Opening Ceremony will take place on 12 May at Habima Square in Tel Aviv. All 41 delegations will walk the Orange (!) Carpet and take questions from hundreds of accredited journalists.

At the end of the carpet, they will all join for a drink at the Charles Bronfman Auditorium.

Join the fun at Eurovision Village

This year’s Eurovision Village will be located in the Charles Clore Park at the coastline in Tel Aviv. The Eurovision Village will be open to the public every day starting 12 until 18 May from 17:00 IST until 23:00 IST. On 14, 16 May and 18 May, the days of the Semi-Finals, it will be open until the live broadcasts finishes. On 17 May, it will be opened from 12:00 - 18:00 IST.

Artists that are already confirmed to perform on stage in the Eurovision Village are: singer Ivri Lider, Shefita (Israeli national finalist Rising Star), Israeli pop-rock band Ethnix, imitation, parody and tribute group Eurofalsh and an ABBA cover band.

How about the EuroClub?

The EuroClub, the official hangout venue for all accredited Eurovision Song Contest delegates, will be located at Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv Port, and will be open from 22:00 - 4:00 IST, between 11 and 18 May.
