Macedonian singer Kaliopi is set to return to the Eurovision Song Contest, next year in Stockholm. The popular singer successfully represented FYR Macedonia in 2012, reaching a 13th place in the Grand Final.

Kaliopi has been active in the music scene since a young age, and has built a credible music career over the past three decades. Besides singing, composing and writing songs for films, ballet and theatre, Kaliopi is passionate about her humanitarian activities.

In 2012, Kaliopi represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Crno I Belo, which qualified for the Grand Final in Baku where it finished 13th with 71 points.

Macedonian national broadcaster MKRTV announced that Kaliopi will present her entry for Stockholm in a television special to be aired at the end of February. She will co-author her song for Stockholm with writer and producer Romeo Grill, who also wrote her previous Eurovision Song Contest entry as well as several of the singer's most popular hits.

"In her long and rich musical career Kaliopi set high standard and left a lasting stamp in the Macedonian and Balkan music, becoming one of the people's favourite music artist," broadcaster MKRTV said in its announcement earlier tonight.
