Roksana Węgiel wins Junior Eurovision 2018 for Poland!25 November 2018 at 19:37 CET
In a spectacular show that saw a very tight race to the finish, Poland was declared the winner of the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with 215 points. Roksana's song is called Anyone I Want To Be. France's Angélina came second with 203 points. Third was Jael from Australia with 201 points.
This year's online voting for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest achieved a record-breaking number of votes, totaling a staggering 1,283,921 valid votes.

Roksana, or Roxie, Węgiel is a 13-year-old vocalist who won the first season of The Voice Kids Poland. She is a girl full of energy and always does what she believes in. Currently Roksana Węgiel is working on her debut album.
Jon Ola Sand, the EBU's Head of Live Events, said: "With a record 20 acts, this year has been the most spectacular Junior Eurovision Song Contest yet and the talent we’ve seen has been phenomenal. Each year the contestants raise the bar with their passion and professionalism and it’s wonderful to see them ‘Light Up’ in front of an international audience. Roksana Węgiel from Poland encapsulates what Junior Eurovision is all about and is a very deserved winner. We are all excited to see what lies ahead for Roksana and I’m sure she has a bright future ahead of her.”
He added: "We at the EBU would like to thank the team at BTRC and all the delegations involved for the hard work they put into this year’s show."
This year’s show was hosted by Helena Meraai, Eugene Perlin and Zena. Zena previously participated in Belarus’ National Selections for the 2015 and 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and has returned as a host and fan of the competition.
