We Got Love was written by Anthony Egizii, David Musumeci and Jessica Mauboy, and composed by Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci.
In her performance, Jessica appears all alone on stage, wearing a shiny, nearly strapless dress which reflects the dominating colours of the act. She is being backed by a light rig in the shape of a modern wing, and pink and teal rule the stage. Having dreamt of actually participating in the Eurovision Song Contest herself, Jessica seemed to genuinly enjoy every second of her first rehearsal on stage.
Around the climax of the song, pyro fountains give Jessica's performance an extra boost.
Eurovision.tv spoke to Jessica after her rehearsal: "'I've just come off the stage and I was just saying to myself that the feeling was... if I could compare it to anything, it would be 'electricity'." How does Jessica explain the performance of We Got Love herself? "It's a conversation. I guess my performance is really bringing the audience closer, it's almost like our first conversation, our first meet about whatever matters in the world right now."
Australia will take part in the second Semi-Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest on the 10th of May.
