Jade had 'no idea she was joining Sugababes'

Sugababes went on BBC Radio One in the UK to talk about the changes in the group. Namely, Keisha Buchanan had been replaced by the Eurovision Song Contest star Jade Ewen.

According to the members, they had insisted changes in the group as "they couldn't work like this". They had not met Jade until two days before she joined Sugababes.

Jade Ewen said she was flown to Los Angeles on Sunday and had not been aware she was going to join the band but of course finds it very exciting now.

She also confirmed her solo single My Man is still on available for sale but she's now turned a new page in her career. "The Sugarbabes is my main project," she told Radio One. This also means her planned solo album will not be released.

Jade's currently recording the vocals for the new Sugababes album. She finished fifth at the 54th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest this May in Moscow, Russia. Her song My Time was written by the legendary song writers Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren.
