Even though nothing has been confirmed by the Cypriot broadcaster, CyBC, according to the rumours, the Greek X-factor entrant Ivi Adamou has already been chosen to be their entry for the 57th Eurovision Song Contest.

While Adamou was not a finalist in the X-Factor with her sixth place finish, she did manage to obtain a record deal with Sony Music Greece, an affiliate of the show. She has later been named a possible candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest representing Greece as well.

In 2011, Cyprus was represented by Christos Mylordos who finished 18th in the second Semi-Final in Düsseldorf with his San Aggelos S'Agapisa
