Italy changes their song to L'Amore È Femmina

13 March 2012 at 17:15 CET

Nina Zilli was announced as the singer that will represent Italy at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest during the Final of the 2012 Festival Di Sanremo. It was then mentioned that the song she sang at the Italian contest, Per Sempre, would not be her entry in Baku.

But one week later the Sanremo entry was confirmed as her Eurovision song. Moments ago that decision was changed as the Italian national television, RAI just shared with us.

RAI and Universal Music Italy announce officially today that they decided to change the song that will represent Italy at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. It will not longer be the Sanremo song Per Sempre but the title track of Nina Zilli's latest album L'Amore È Femmina (Love Is Female). It's not clear yet if the song will be performed fully in Italian or in Italian/English.

L'Amore È Femmina (Love Is Female) is written by Nina herself along with Christian Rabb, Kristoffer Sjokvist, Frida Molander and Charlie Mason.

Italy participates in the Final of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest on the 26th of May in Baku.
