Italy and Russia celebrated in Düsseldorf

13 May 2011 at 16:20 CEST

The Italian delegation arranged a jazz concert as a showcase for their performer's talent. Raphael Gualazzi proved how a worthy Sanremo winner he was, and a perfect musical ambassador for the return of Italy to the Eurovision Song Contest.

In the showcase we witnessed the young musician performing some brilliant numbers along with his band. The songs they played not only included his Eurovision entry Madness Of Love, but also others taken from his second album Reality And Fantasy already available in Italy, France and Germany and soon in many other European territories. The album is already certified gold in Italy.

As a special guest performance, Blue from the United Kingdom sang a very special rendition of their entry I Can with Raphael by the piano. They also did one of their biggest hits together, Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word

Only a couple of hours later it was Alexej Vorobjov who greeted all the accredited people and guests to the party organised by the Russian delegation to honour, in this case also to celebrate their access to the Final on Saturday.

Many of his competitors attended the social event at the Euroclub to show the friendly approach the Eurovision Song Contest has in spite of the competition.

In the party Alexej treated the audience to an extensive selection of his talents, like his abilities playing the accordion, and an extensive selection of his music catalogue.
